Red Pepper Hot Sauce
Red Pepper Hot Sauce - Recipe
I LOVE Lebanese food. So. Much. When I still lived in Ohio, I went to visit some friends in Cleveland and they took me to this adorable restaurant that had amazing tapas and falafel. I jokingly said that if they ever opened a restaurant in Toledo, I would get a job there.
Well, sure enough a few years later they did open a restaurant in Toledo and so I asked if I could be a waitress. I already had a day job, but I just loved the food there so much I thought why not! It was a fun extra job to have and they wound up asking me to be an assistant manager after a few months.
When I was working there it was before I knew anything about cooking or food other than that I was at a point in my life where I enjoyed trying new things! I wish I had the sense to figure out the recipe for the hot sauce when I still worked there, but alas that isn't always how life works out.
This is my attempt at replicating the hot sauce that I love so very much. It's not exactly the same, but it it will get me through out here in LA until I can make it back to Ohio for a visit and to stock up on the real deal!
